Is Barclays Track it website up to date? As if it is I’m worried

I am due according to my solicitor for completion on Friday.

I was told funds should be released on Thursday.

However, I just discovered the Barclays Track it site and it is showing they are still waiting for the certificate of deed (which I signed and returned weeks ago) and there is no completion date. The last update is 13th November on that site.

I find it hard to believe that the solicitor would mess up that badly and tell me and the seller and estate agent we are about to complete if it wasn’t ready. But the website says different which makes me nervous.

I have just emailed my solicitor to query this but if it’s correct no way I’ll have the money tomorrow and complete the day after…

Website is only as accurate as the people feeding it data.
Your Solicitor should not have exchanged contracts without confirmation that funds are ready.
    Have you exchanged contracts?
  • They have assured me this morning that everything is ready to complete tomorrow. We exchanged 3 weeks ago.

I’ve raised what I saw to them so if there are any issues I’d assume that they would now check. I don’t know why the tracker doesn’t show that but I have to believe the solicitor is correct.

I'm not sure what you mean by a "certificate of deed", but nothing you sign is going to Barclays at this stage. The solicitor sends their certificate of title to them in order to request the funds.
