Eon smart meter not recognised on national network
Options
Hi ,
Eon installed smart meter for gas and electric some time ago . There were some initial issues and the smart screen was changed. For a while I was able to hook up with 3rd party apps but then lost connectivity with them, first for gas and then electricity . Raised issue with eon and whilst they get readings they say that Eon give no support to fix this . I know other eon customers link up just fine on these apps eg smart things etc and one 3rd party app told me to esculate as the eon smart meters should work with them and the problem was with eon . The odd thing is that the meter number is not recognised and I think eon have not registered this properly on the national network and this could 0I guess lead to difficulties if I switch suppliers who would need this sorted out . The meter is the latest version and was told it can be switched to another supplier but I doubt this is true until eon fix the registration . Has anyone else had this problem with eon next and do you think I am correct in that the issue is with them ?

It seems odd that third party apps did work but then stopped. Are you sure Eon is still reading your smart meter and not just making up estimates? But the most obvious reason why a meter number might not be recognised is that it is not being entered correctly.Reed0
