I had ordered a wren kitchen with wren designer with verbal agreement

Before ordering my kitchen with Wren kitchens I discussed with the designer and assistant manager of the wren kitchen that I want to order the kitchen only if wren kitchen can provide me full installation service including supplementary work and the only time we are available is September 2023-mis October 23. It was very clearly mentioned that only if it can be done than only we can order new kitchen otherwise we are okay with the existing kitchen. Both designer and the assistant manager agreed that they can get me very best fitter who will do all the supplementay work too. They immediately arranged for the fitter for pre fit and estimation. All agreed with this fitter and contract was signed with his name as fitter on the contract. Just 2 weeks before the schedule kitchen fitting I received an email from the fitter that he is not fitting my kitchen as wren kitchens has moved him to other project. After all my arguments another fitter was sent for prefit who asked nearly 7000 pounds more than the 1st fitter for the same job and refused to give me breakdown cost. I could not agree for this amount and now its been nearly 2 months and wren is constantly pressurising us for delivering the bespoke kitchen to my house and agree for dry fit. I do not have any installer so I can not agree for dry fit and just store the full kitchen in my house. I am being threatened for storage charges and the balance due to finance company. I never did any thing to change any contract condition but the wren kitchen messed up with me. Please help me regarding what is my consumer rights and legal rights.

For the avoidance of doubt - is the contract with the fitter a different contract from the supply? Who's name is on the 'fitting' contract - is it a Wren contract or a personal contract with the fitter?0

If you paid Wren to supply and fit, and that Sep-Oct timframe was a condition of the contract, then they've breached it and you can cancel for a full refund of any monies paid.
However, it sounds like it might be more complicated. You mention the new fitter quoting a new price, which suggests you have a contract to supply with Wren, and a separate contract to fit with Fitter1. Fitter1 has let you down, so you have been passed to Fitter2. But you say that Fitter1 was taken off your job by Wren, so perhaps it's not entirely separate.
You need to establish whether you have one contract to supply and fit, or two separate contracts.0 -
I have only one contract with the name of fitter on the contract. The fitter came and quoted me only for extra work I wanted him to do as I wanted full tiles of the big kitchen and opening a door for pantry etc but kitchen fitting of the kitchen ordered to wren is to be paid only by wren and I do not have any separate contract with the fitter for the kitchen fitting1

The Kitchen company verbally agreed to our requirements of fitter etc which was conditional agreement to sign the contract. Made us sign the contract without giving us go through all the terms and conditions before signing the contract. Now saying verbal agreement is not valid as per terms and conditions of their contract and used sales techniques to make us sign the contract0

So the kitchen company forced you to sign this verbal contract?
Why would they do that? and how exactly did they do it? You said they used sales techniques.
Who is saying this verbal contract is not worth the paper it is signed on, you or the kitchen company?0 -
What specifically is your issue with the contract, which did not cover what was discussed verbally, and that kitchen company made you sign?0
-
How long ago did you sign the contract?
Where were you when you had the conversation/signed?
Because if it was something sold to you in your home, online, or by phone, then you may have a 14 day cooling off period to cancel the contract without penalty (unless you were asked and agreed they can start work immediately, at which point they can charge you for work carried out to date).I'm not an early bird or a night owl; I’m some form of permanently exhausted pigeon.0 -

Nobody is forced to sign a contract without first reading it. I can believe that a lot of pressure is applied at times, but that isn't the same as being forced. If anybody is applying excessive pressure to sign it should be enough to make anybody walk away.
