Problem with switch from Santander to Co-op bank - is this normal?

Hi there

In October I switched from a Santander current account to the Co-op bank. All seemed to go smoothly, however two largish payments which have been made into my old account since it closed have not arrived in my new account more than two weeks later. The Co-op customer service person sounded sympathetic but said there is nothing they can do about it and I have to take it up with the banks that made the payments. These are clients' accounts and I am reluctant to cause my clients hassles on my behalf. Is it normal for transfers to take this long? Should I just keep calm and trust that all will be resolved?

Are these business accounts?

Bank payments should be instanteous. 

Under CASS it's upto Co-Op to resolve

Thanks penners324. It's a regular personal current account. I am freelance and get paid direct into my personal account, I haven't set myself up as a business.
