TV Licence - News via Catch-Up Service?

Hi - the only live TV or BBC iPlayer service I watch / use with any regularity now is the news which makes the licence fee look like very poor value for me, and that's before the next price hike. I mostly use Amazon Prime or watch pre-recorded Youtube videos. Lots of good stuff on this forum on the rules / implications around not having a licence, but I have a specific question I hope someone can help me with.....
Is there a reasonably balanced daily TV News bulletin I can watch legally on YouTube or one of the catch up channels that anyone would recommend?
Thanks in advance, Mike

Partly it will depend on your view of "reasonably balanced".You can catch up on News on ITVX and also CH4 for their main evening News programme but anything live then you need a licence. BBC News has a youtube channel where you can catch up on stories if that is any use.Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid1

There's a lot of news out there in various formats. There are the catch-up and clipped versions of the mainstream news broadcasts, there are regular "news flash" videos from newspapers and directly from Reuters and AP, and there is now a wealth of current affairs content available from non-mainstream organisations from Novara Media to Triggernometry.
A TV Licence isn't required to watch:-
- Catch-up and on-demand content from commercial broadcasters.
- Any on-demand BBC content obtained from somewhere other than iPlayer.
- Any streamed content (including live content) from mainstream sources other than licensed broadcasters (e.g. newspapers and radio stations).
- Any content (including live content) from independent content providers in the UK and internationally that aren't licensed broadcasters.0
