Euro Parking Services: NTK not recieved, but got a "Fore Court Action"
bufflehead
I received the following "Fore Court Action" letter on the weekend and could do with some advice on how to procced, especially as I have not received a Notice To Keeper:

I have complained to the landowner, who in turn have redirected me to the organisation they have leased the land to; the lessee have the contract with Euro Parking Services. I will be complaining to the lessee as well.
I'm pretty sure, given the reuputation of this company, they will claim they sent the NTK, but it would be good to know how many I should have received.

You must contact them (all parties) to tell them to erase your old address because we suspect you forgot to update your V5C address? You know how to reply to a LBC or LBA because the NEWBIES thread shows you this.
Forgetting to update your logbook address is what causes missed PCNs and it's serious - you need to update the logbook address not just driving licence when moving. Sorry if I'm barking up the wrong tree. If I'm right you must put the logbook address right.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I don't think the address is the issue. I have received other PCNs (all successfully appealed against) at this address. If my address was this problem, how did they manage to get the address for the letter?

By tracing you. All normal and allowed. Please double check your logbook now.
You'd be surprised how many people say it is up to date then find it isn't.
You won't be paying a penny either way.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I appreciate your patience in replying.Checked my V5C, it has the correct address. On the Newbies thread, it says that a genuine LBC should give 30 days to reply whereas this letter only gives 14. Do I proceed as though this is a genuine LBC?

Nope. Ignore it.
How can the charge be £200? Two PCNs?
Or does it only list one?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Only a single PCN is listed on the letter, in both places it uses the same PCN number

Wow. Well it can't be £200.
Please show more of the info you covered up: safe to show an image including the location, date of PCN and half the PCN ref.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The location is a regular drop-off/pick-up point. No other images, nothing printed on the reverse

Meant to add: The location is a regular drop-off/pick-up point for many, including myself

If you are a fairly robust person:
Ring them up, put them on loudspeaker and record them on another phone. Ask them:
- what this is about and
- why it's £200 for one supposed PCN, and
- where did they send the supposed NTK(s) and are there two, and
- do they think they have complied with the Pre-Action Protocol.
Do not pay, Do not talk about who parked. ONLY do this if recording the call, which is the whole point, to gather evidence of harassment and sharp practice.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
