How do you stop unwanted letters for someone not living at our address?
I also kept getting an annual Christmas card for many years for the same people. At first I forwarded to what I thought was their new address (they had moved into temporary accomodation before I bought this house & so I don't know where they then moved on to) but the cards kept arriving for the next 10 years. I just used to open them & stick them up with my own cards, really wishing I could respond to the sender. They finally stopped about 5 years ago.
We're of the generation where fewer cards are received in the post. Last year, the previous owners received more cards to our house via post than we did
As above, we put them up anyway - didn't want the effort going to waste.
Thanks to all the people who have shared their advice on this issue. I am not keen to add deceased to the return letters as I think this suggests I have knowledge of the person. I will update the forum if I have any reply to the emails sent to the two companies. Thanks once again to everyone who commented.
