Paris Olympics - Metro Tickets

Now that they have announced that the metro ticket prices are to double during the Olympics what are the best ways to purchase tickets - is there a way of buying tickets now that can be used in July/Aug24? We are a family of 4 so a doubling of metro tickets would be quite expensive.

Paper metro tickets are being phased out but if you know someone travelling to Paris before your trip, you could ask them to buy you a few carnets (books of 10 tickets) from the Eurostar buffet counter (the last I heard there were still available there).
Be careful though - the magnetic strip on these tickets is extremely prone to accidental demagnetisation.Official MSE Forum Team member. Please report all problem posts to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com1 -
I know that the ethos of this site is money-saving, and 'look after the pennies' and all that, but the metro ticket component of the overall cost for a family of four to attend the Paris Olympics is presumably going to be practically negligible?KennyH1 said:Now that they have announced that the metro ticket prices are to double during the Olympics what are the best ways to purchase tickets - is there a way of buying tickets now that can be used in July/Aug24?
