Hi all,
So I start a new job tomorrow. My work coach has told me to report it tomorrow on the website.
Though a bit concerned. Last time I reported a change in work circumstances, which was an older UC claim last year, I was advised only to report it when I received my first pay.
I am relying on my next UC payment at beginning of January and won't be paid from this new job before then.
Any advice please?

You need to report the changes when you start working, not when you receive your first earnings. You can do this through your journal, if you have access to one.UC entitlement is based on earnings received each assessment period. If no earnings are received in your assessment period then you'll be entitled to your maximum UC entitlement. Once you start receiving earnings whether there's any entitlement to UC will depend on your circumstances. If PAYE then your employer should report your earnings to HMRC and UC will check with them.3
