Cleaning an iPod 1st generation for sale

I have an iPod 1st generation I want to sell. I have been able to charge it using a 30pin hard wired lead, I don’t have a 30pin- USB cable. Even if I did I’m not sure it would be recognised by iTunes.
Being of the 2004 era all it has on it is music. I just want to make sure that the buyer can’t access the associated Apple ID account for it. Or worse use the iPod in some way to gain control of the Apple ID. Being such an old device there is no keyboard or password for it. Is it safe?

Log into your Apple ID at Apple.com/uk
Check your devices and then if it is there remove it.
If the music is still there I'm guessing something isn't right so I would suggest reset to factory again, make sure you choose all data and settings
Check the process first at Apple.com1 -

Unless "vintage" is the operative word and desirability / value increasing.1 -
Yes more so with original packaging $30 - $10000

Found this
Select the iPod icon under the menu buttons on the top left corner > Look for the "Restore iPod" button, click it. It will prompt you with a message asking if you'd like a Factory Reset (which erases all media as well)

It’s an iPod mini, not an iPod touch.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
