ITVX app is casting the progress bar onto TV screen

Hi. 
Does anyone know how to stop the ITV progress bar casting onto the TV screen please? 
There are no settings that I can see in the ITV app to stop it.

Rarely it'll disappear for a few seconds, then it's back on screen for the majority of a movie / programme.

It's driving me crazy, and it covers any text info given in TV programmes (as in the pic)

I hope this makes sense.

    Are you using the TV app or casting from something else. TV model or whatever you are casting from.

    Hi. I'm using the ITVX app direct to Chromecast. 

    It don't get why the bar disappears sometimes on the TV (which is great when it does, but this only lasts 30 seconds or so and it's back!)

    Try restarting the devices and check forany updates. I had this issue on my Firestick but it resolved when everything had been shutdown and updated.
