HSBC Advance Account

I applied for the HSBC Advance Account in order to apply for the £205 incentive. After I submitted my application I received several text messages saying they were very busy, but I'd hear soon. I received a letter last week stating that my application was unsuccessful as my credit score wasn't high enough. I have the highest score possible according to Experian, so can anyone explain why I was rejected? Thanks

Banks are not using the scores the credit agencies have made up. They do their own scoring. HSBC are also renowned for being very picky. Nothing you can do if a bank doesn't consider you a profitable customer for them. Best to move on to another switch offer.
