It's not that exciting - they aren't actually selling the Cybertruck in the UK.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

It might generally speed up the adoption of V2H, though. The irony is that Chademo was designed as a bi-directional system but has now become the Betamax of charging.

Indeed, and after purchasing our Leaf for that purpose nearly six years ago V2H should finally be installed with us tomorrow. :)

Thanks michaels, looking forward to it although it will be interesting to see how it gets on with PV, Zappi, Eddie and Storage Batts!

Perhaps not for you. I’ve reserved one and have my fingers crossed it’ll be here in a couple years once the hype stabilizes. The real question is - where am I going to park the damn thing!?!

Not going to happen unless we do a deal for a Tesla factory in return for weakening our pedestrian safety ratings, which I can't see happening after the next GE (nor before given the current administration thinks there are votes in being anti-green).  Shame really as I would have taken a 4 wheel drive for 50k as originally promised....

One has to assume that V2H will become a norm.
Nissan led the charge but not overly effectively.  The latest generation of MG EV have V2L.
I wonder whether V2H is a good descriptor?
If I had V2H, I would expect to be able to power the whole house through a power cut.  Yep - heating, oven, kettle, tumble drier, etc.
With the MG V2L, my expectation is lower - that I can power one or two small devices, so keeping the broadband router going, a laptop, maybe a TV...

I can also see there is a need for vehicles offering V2L / V2H to have some management of expectations around impact on car range.
I can just see the Daily Fail stories now "Kept my house live for three hours during a power cut, then got an emergency call to assist my Mother and the available range was only 10 miles.  She lives 12 miles away so there was no way I could get there in an emergency.  She was crying over the spilt milk and the smashed bottle was a risk if she walked about bare-foot and, given her frail and elderly status, there was no way she could clear it up.  I was worried for her safety and wellbeing - plus it would have really stunk if that milk had stayed on the floor long enough to go off."

Suspect it won't ever meet EU/UK regulations!

It won't. We have regulations about mangling pedestrians. I gather the frontal collision test didn't look too pretty, either.
