Morning everyone lovely carol Taff I’m the same I always think of food if there’s a party then again I’m always thinking about food . It’s absolutely freezing here and lethal walking I’ve been to get some shopping but what we haven’t got now is tough we won’t starve I’m not going out in that again it’s terrible trying to walk and dangerous I’ve got some of those wires you put round your boots I was glad of them this morning but I’ve made a blooper I’ve decided I am going to make some shepherds pies picked up a large pack of mince in Lidl 60 % off but if I make them I’ve got no room in the freezer to put them mind you they wouldn’t hurt stood in the kitchen it’s that cold in there Any ideas how to heat it cheaply we have the log burner in the living room but without the heating on it’s to cold to work in the kitchen.not a lot else happening here just trying to stay warm it has to rain all next week roll in summer. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Izzy, I used to have a single-skin kitchen extension and I put a small oil-filled radiator in there with the thermostat set to keep it comfortable.

Thank you floss I have just had a look and I have ordered one delivered Thursday it’s absolutely freezing as one wall is practically glass big patio doors with a full length windows either side then I have a window above the sink I don’t need to heat it constantly but would like something to take the chill off it and a touch warmer it literally takes your breath away I can’t stand and do anything in there I have to have the heating on for a while which is heating the whole house it’s just starting to snow again Brrrrr

I know you have blinds in there Izzy but thick curtains would also help. Have you got one of those little fans on your fire? We have on ours and I've angled ours to blow into the hallway to warm that up a bit and the kitchen...

Taff we have a fan on the fire but it is a big room with a open staircase it has its work cut out heating all of that
