Good Morning all hope you are all well wrapped up and warm I'm layered up as I am dropping of seven pairs of glasses and the local optician who recycles them .Its very cold here in Kent, and my car looks like an igloo .But i'm not driving.
I can walk across to the small precinct in less that 5 minutes from my house. I'll nip into the bank to draw a small amount out to pay the gardener as he's coming next week to 'put the garden to bed' for the winter. he's a lovely chap and any job I want doing he will turn his hand to.
I also have to drop a library book off at the local library so working out my route, its bank, opticians, library and home all done in under 30 minutes than a hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream to warm me up.I have some lemon drizzle cake for elevenses to go with my hot chocolateI have three Barbie cardigans to knit this afternoon so it will be 5 outfits finished for my GGDs dolls. I have their Mums dolls cot in my cupboard under the stairs that I will get my DGS to dig out for me at the weekend My late husband made it for her when she was little so I may have a look and make some sheets and blankets for the girls to have for their dolls. It will be another thing decluttered from my house.
I'm slowly getting stuff shifted as after Christmas we shall be looking to move in the spring down to the IoW to live so I'm trying to declutter 28 years of belongings that I won't want to take with me DD has already started decluttering her house and it will be two houses going into one.
Did a great tip run last weekend with my DGS and got rid of a car full of junk, cans of paint, old chairs etc and even a cupboard or two I can actually start to see the floor in my study stairs which was really jammed packed with junk.
Junk drawer decluttering is an ongoing thing and every day more and more stuff is getting binned. I must take my shredder upstairs as I have god knows how much paper work going back years to get shot of
Onwards and upwards though I will become minimalistic if I can

Morning all, no snow yet but still - 2, the frost is getting thicker. Another busy day yesterday. DH dropped me at the retail park to look at curtains for the bedroom, he went to check on the job & picked me up on the way back, then we had to move the bed to the other side of the room.DH was renewing the runners on the bed drawers so once that was done I could fill them up again.Picked DGS up,DS was watching DGD in the inter schools tournament,I got the wrong day before. They didnt do very well, on the plus side he was home earlier to take DGS to training ( who having got ready was kicking a ball in the back garden, slipped on what we realised was cat poo, so he had to get changed and a clean up as it was on his legs and boots ,yeuch ) sorry that might be too much info so early! Not even his cat, DS has tried all sorts of deterrents that obviously don't workWe just had bacon and egg when we got home, couldn't be bothered with cooking properly.Izzy hope you get warm soon, in fact hope everyone stays warm. Have lit the log burner but it's not warmed the room much yet - take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. 。❅*⋆⍋*∞*。*∞*⍋⋆*❅。
Sleigh bells ring, are you listening?
In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight
We're happy tonight
Walking in a winter wonderland
Gone away is the bluebird
Here to stay is a new bird
To sing a love song
While we stroll along
Walking in a winter wonderland
。❅*⋆⍋*∞*。*∞*⍋⋆*❅。Morning! Cold but dry..Costco was expensive but all stuff to be bought was bought, so we're party ready for next Saturday with food and booze. Now I just have to cook it all. I inventoried both freezers last night and wrote it all down. I used gloves this time so my hands didn't freeze. Only veg to be bought for the rest of the year now, and beyond so I'm going to start properly meal planning. I've finally found the right Cookery Year book too so that is gracing my shelves now - there's a particular recipe I wanted and my copy is practically illegible now because it was a photocopy and brandy had spilled on it smearing all the ink. Today no plans, apart form deifnitely go and get some tea bags because I'm down to my last tea bag which is almost unheard of and I can't funtion without teaRuby, sorry about your uncle..nanny, fatty is fine, he's currently trying to entice the little girl to play and she's having none of it...hope all is well with you. dp1, sounds a very restrained outfit, not!camelot, enjoy the social butterflying
Gers, you do paint a very pretty picture! TA, glad you got to see your girls again on a Thursday which is the best day for a pasta bake
Izzy, hope she stays OK for a while then, and that you stay upright! No strapping young men to help? Watch out, there's ice about...I know there are people who hate the snow but I am not one of them so I am jealous of those of you who have it.... take care all, stay safe, upright and warm!

Morning all
The snow yesterday came to nothing 😩 but we have a sharp frost this morning if I squint it almost looks like snow 😃 DD and I are going to town today to hopefully finish the Christmas shopping I only have a few bits to get just stocking fillers for dd and OH and nearer to the big day I need to get the hamper sorted for the in-laws but a lot of that will be fresh stuff so that will have to wait.
Not sure about dinner tonight will go and look in the freezer after this. Washing is up to date for once. When we get back I need to wrap the final bits for OH birthday tomorrow, I have got him such a good surprise I am beside myself with excitement 😃
Stay safe in the snow for those that have it, I am very jealous!
Have good days all and take care xx11 -

Hello al, it's very cold but the sun is out, must be a heatwave !
I did most of my xmas cards yesterday but now I'll have to buy another one that's suitable for late DN's family, the one I have is far too jolly 🤔.This morning I have put away the dried washing from yesterday and stripped the bed, that's now doing it's thing in the wm, then I'll make the bed later.
Mr Fix It is outside doing his pre MOT checks on the car ready for Monday and I'm inside with the heating on and having a hot oxo drink while I post. Tea tonight will be a pre-made beef casserole from the freezer, we may have a jacket potato with it too.
Taff thanks for the xmas song, I remember singing that when I was small, sitting on a pouffe in front of the coal fire with Mum and Dad, many moons ago. I could never say Parson Brown properly.
Take care all, stay safe and warm.
