My partner died nearly 7 years ago his 3 children are all named as executors. We were all left an equal share in his will. I have asked several times over the years to see the accounts and asked about several valuable assets he had. None of my questions have ever been answered and they won’t show me any accounts all I am told is they are in dispute with HMRC who don’t reply to their mail

Have you clarified if they have got probate? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

I’m not sure what they have because they won’t tell me anything0

They are almost certainly lying about HMRC they don’t let things go on for 7 years. Your first step is to check the probate records to see if it has been granted. Very easy to do on line.1
