Smart parking Ltd

Options
My wife paid for a ticket and still has the ticket and proof it was paid with her bank card. Smart parking ltd have issued her not only with a ticket but after she sent in an appeal to them and they haven’t replied got debt recovery plus to send her a new bill for £160. My wife called DRP only to be met by a very arrogant and rude male who said she had to pay and she could pay £122 if she paid there and then.

  • So I’ve had a read through and I’m still figure out my next course of action. With my wife not telling me it was private not council property I told her to sort it out, so she called them, does that mean I can’t ignore the barrage of letters from DRP or can I keep ignoring them? Do I have to send a complaint in and to who smart parking, DVLA or BPA? Also with proof of the ticket she purchased and proof it was paid with a bank card surely they have no leg to stand on?

I thought the thread by LithT explained the order of complaints already?

  • Is no one allowed to answer a simple question on here without being made to feel as if they’re stupid? I had a look on that link and I’m unsure what to do next. Is anyone willing to tell me what’s my best action?
