Child tax credit underpayment

We switched to UC and have received our 'final' tax credit letter. I called them yesterday to confirm all details and finalise the award up to the date that we applied for UC. The letter we received shows an underpayment of just over £300. If this is correct, once all figures have been finalised, how long does it take for them to release any underpayment? Would it be paid directly into the bank account we had our child tax credits paid into previously? Many thanks.
