HL Investing - Hargreaves Lansdown Clone Scam

Posting for reference in case anyone searches Google. It looks like there is a clone scam going on using the HL Investing name to pretend to be genuine company Hargreaves Lansdown and offering a 8.85% fixed rate investment bond.
Usual thing of recently registered domain and name used on emails of Sebastian Bush@hl-investing.co.uk. The person is a genuine HL employee and nothing to do with the scam - emails will not go to him.
This is a scam and has nothing to do with the real Hargreaves Lansdown.

I feel very sorry for anyone who is scammed, the people doing this are despicable. Saying this, I do find it amazing that people still fall for these things. Always treat any unsolicited phone call or text as a scam.1

Trouble is, if you are an HL customer you will be so used to getting a load of marketing bumph from them that you may just assume this is one more, without properly checking.

Hopefully if you are an HL customer you'd go to the real HL website and find that it doesn't exist but they might get some click throughsLHW99 said:Trouble is, if you are an HL customer you will be so used to getting a load of marketing bumph from them that you may just assume this is one more, without properly checking.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.1
