Does anyone know how to close a Chase bank account. I've looked all around the app with no luck.
I don't really want to have to phone them. Thanks for any help.

I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.

I've not tried it myself, but there is an option in Settings > Leave Chase2

The easiest to close a current account is to switch it to another bank, using the CASS switch service. There is usually always a switch offer around which efectively pays you for closing a current account. Nationwide and First Direct have active switch offers, and Barclays' closes today but you can still get it if you are quick. https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/compare-best-bank-accounts/

And if there isn't a switch offer you fancy at the moment then hang on to the Chase account (leave a quid in there) because there will be more along in the future.friolento said:The easiest to close a current account is to switch it to another bank, using the CASS switch service. For reasons I will not go into, I do not wish to switch this account. I'm just looking for quick an easy way to shut it down.I choose the rooms that I live in with care,

I closed an account through their app., exactly as PloughmansLunch describes.If you close it there is a warning that you will never be able to darken their doors again.I now wish I'd left £1 in the account and not closed it though. As Mr Lobster suggests.1

I've got to say I think CHASE is a cracking account, if only for the 1% cashback on spending. I've switched countless times now but have always kept the CHASE account.1
