  • Sorry went on tangent regarding washers. I did just check that site and couldn't get past the bubble it just asked if I already had a reference number for an item I had a problem with and I said yes but it just delayed me back to "contact customer service" again.

I may have to email them at that email address you found. I'm going to try now and report back if they answer.
  • Yes it's probably better asking elsewhere but I think it's a bit strange they are going longer and longer supposedly for energy efficiency and maybe soaking longer but still seem to be able to get good results fairly quickly just with a bit more water used is supposed but it is necessary to it working.

Glad it isn't just one machine but I thought maybe speed could be balanced out more.

Will have to try that appliances direct email and see if they say anything back though they have given a reference number i should double check on the warranty transferring for sure.

I use a Beko, mostly use "Daily Quick" that's an hour at 60  or hour and a half at 90. I've never had a issue with still dirty after washing.
At a guess the longer time-frame allows for items to soak more, so lower temp is needed, but could be totally wrong.

Indeed I think Beko were one of the only ones to list they may still do this. That time for a 90 wash is high temp but quick time. Good I think for a 90!

I hardly ever wash that high tbh although do use some zoflora in some loads line fresh and seems to come out well.

Our Beko has a button called "time save" but is ages old now.

I think you nailed the general idea and to keep the heat in as long as possible too maybe. Samsung Di "eco bubble" which I imagine would agitate and oxygenate mechanically using just air to pre soak cold.

I am hoping I haven't made a costly mistake but the LG was coming with free delivery, packing / unpacking installation etc. supposedly cashback (not tracked yet even after almost a week) and I think I made a mistake as I'd like one of the modern ones with black doors and light inside.

Beko was on the list but did say to my mum I don't just want to go with it because I know it I'd like to see the competition too.

Your washes sound very quick for nowadays. I know the Hoover h wash on Currys lists 300-350 minutes on some cycles which takes the Mick a bit. Makes up for it with quick wash in 59 I suppose and I haven't had issues with Beko time save tbh. An hour - 1:30 most of the time.

Haier sounds reasonable I think. Quick wash in 14 minutes but for low kg loads but "I time* where it's supposed to analyse the wash and do it best set to your time limit. Anything over two hours / 2:30 for a normal load is overkill imo yet they are going longer in the name of efficiency (not heating the water up lots or something I read needing more time).

It's a washer, it needs water to wash things so great I'd it saves water but yikes the convenience can't be overlooked for a full load and if true for a load 5 hours is ridiculous imo.

Seems Beko are one that seem  to be efficient and quick such as the aquatech. Very unsure about this purchase and would have liked some smart programmes too. Just in case but mum says it's more to go wrong.

It's a minefield as most have quick washes of say 14 minutes for 2kg but not many list full load quick washes. LG says 5kg load in 39 on turbowash but what about the full lot? On for hours and hours.

I think it depends on what's right for you.

If a 90 degree cotton programme uses 3kwh and the 40 degree 'eco' programme takes 0.3 - that's a 70p difference per wash (at my unit rates) ignoring the saving on the water meter... which over the course of the year adds up to a fair bit of extra electricity bill.

So if both washes clean to the same amount, I don't have a problem with it taking a bit longer - Other people who are time short might think the extra cost worth it to get the load out faster - neither is right or wrong :)
I'm not an early bird or a night owl; I’m some form of permanently exhausted pigeon.
  • True. I think a 90 degree programme isn't needed tbh and just overkill.

I wash at lower temperatures mostly anyway and things come out clean on a 40 time save on current Beko machine.

I think I made a mistake with the LG. I prefer the Haier and can get a good deal on one of those but no free installation or anything.

I think I know how to plumb a machine in except for the fact the pipe needs to run past three cupboards and be at least 9 feet long via that route. Only a mouse can fit down there so I wanted to know if I can use the existing drain pipe which no videos go into.

Everyone else's seem in much more sensible locations than ours and if it was the dishwasher is have no issues doing it I don't think due to it being right next to the sink and spigot.

Connecting a cold supply (literally turning water off and unscrewing then the opposite) and sink spigot doesn't look hard it's just getting the pipe to the spigot.

I have tried to ask on Reddit but no replies yet. I wonder if anyone would know on here.
