soolin said:I’m really sorry but I don’t understand your post at all. If you have a consumer right issue then can you explain it in a better way so that we can help.
However, if you are looking to hire people and/or set up a business in a leased office space then consumer rights isn’t the right place to post, and again perhaps if you could explain your question in a clearer form I can ask the forum team to move your thread to a more appropriate forum.
Thank you
It is all right. I will not get into any trouble with an authority.
I wish this to be closed and deleted since this thread is not relevant.-1 -
I think I understand this as you’ve posted several posts with the job ads above. You’ve then been told by someone (that you term a bully) that this is illegal. You’ve asked the police (I assume a police officer in public?) and they said that it doesn’t look like a crime has been committed.
I don’t see how this is a crime - unless you take money from people for fees. I also don’t see how you can earn money from these postings. However, I would say it is a common thing that scammers will use a persons legitimate account to make fake job ads to try and get people to apply for them to either steal information, or to scam them (normally via a cheque scam). If you’re being paid to post these then I would be very concerned as legitimate companies will use legitimate websites and post under l company accounts (or personal accounts themselves if it’s a small business).Basically - if you’re getting paid to post ads for someone else, you should clarify why they’re paying you to do it when they could do it themselves. Seems a bit too good to be true.0 -
I'm not looking to steal info
I did write a post in text language with the hope a developer would contact me
However I'm not scamming, I'm not taking money and there is no tax fraud-1 -
Then where does making money come into it?0

I earnt money on the side and I require a web developer
I doubt the police would investigate that with no proof, I think they said it's not what the police do-1 -

What has the 'bully' said exactly - because it is against facebook rules to use a personal account to advertise (or recruit) for something business related (even self employed). If that's the case, then it would be reported to and investigated by facebook, not the police... how seriously facebook take such things, I have no idea.
The other issue about 'earning money' is if you need to pay tax on it - which would be DWP, not the police - and if you're hiring people to do things for your business, if you're doing everything you need to legally (if the tax man views them as self employed or an employee etc)
Just because someone online thinks you're doing something wrong doesn't mean you are, and just because you don't think you are doing anything wrong doesn't mean you aren't.I'm not an early bird or a night owl; I’m some form of permanently exhausted pigeon.0 -

I posted many Facebook posts of:
"I seek a graphics designer to hire a logo
I also require a web developer with 3-5 years of experience in JavaScript
I'm also looking for a small room to rent to turn into an office"
I spoke to police officers at shopping centres and they go that doesn't look like fraud and nothing wrong with me
They go it's not a police matter
The reason why I say this is because I've reported some bullies and they know this
They're looking to fight back and may have reported me for cheating, doing something wrong and something wrong here.0 -
Thank you all for your insights and comments on this matter.0
