Surprisingly Yes. Dad had cash saved different banks and they have said they will need Confirmation. Even his Credit Union account requires Confirmation as their limit is £5k.
Since you mention the hours - I am also not sure about how to go about getting the title deeds changed into my mums name only. Not sure if this is absolutely necessary but if it prevents any future issues then I should look into this too.0 -

This link explains amending the proprietor details on land register https://www.ros.gov.uk/services/update-the-land-register.
However, with a survivorship clause, it is not uncommon not to update the register on the first death.
