I totally agree since I did exactly the same thing! I plan to give away my purchase as a present or if I change my mind, ebay it.

The thing that really depressed me was that a) there were actually electrical items I needed but I knew (and was told ) that I could find them cheaper elsewhere AND b) that on many of the items delivery was extortionate. More and more sites are doing this and it really annoys me! I have a policy of not spending that money on delivery, preferring to spend it on travel and pick up the item myself.

Did anyone actually recieve their vue card? I recieve all of my dixon orders yesterday and not a single card for the cinema offer

Is there another step to go through to claim the card/s?

All customers who make a purchase from Dixons.co.uk before 11pm on Christmas Day are entitled to a '2 for 1' Vue Cinema Card, so two of you can view your favourite names throughout 2008 and only pay for one person. You will be able to go to a choice of Vue Cinemas for 12 months - so now the only hard bit is deciding who to take!
What do you need to do to claim your 2 for 1 Vue Cinema Card:


All you have to do is complete your purchase. Once you have completed your purchase and received your 3rd email with your Dixons order number we will arrange your Free 2 for 1 VUE Cinema card will be sent to the billing address on the order.
Conditions:

Promotion valid for delivered purchases made between 4pm on 24th December 2007 and 11pm on Christmas Day 25th December 2007 . Note that where an order is cancelled or refunded within 14 days of purchase it will not qualify for the 2 for 1 cinema card which will be posted within 28 days of purchase.

dixons got back to my email and told me to call tlc marketing, however the number they gave me was for sky!!!! i rung dixons and they gave me this number; 0871 2210502 . i have tried ringing today (Saturday) but no answer!!! Best of luck!!!

anyone had any success yet!!! i got through eventually on the tlc number dixons gave me but they dont have my name on their list!!! They are now getting in touch with Dixons!!!
