Amazon Black Friday Price Difference Refund Scam

On the 17th November Amazon had a banner on their UK site saying that if
you purchased a Black Friday advertised deal between the 17th November
and 27th November that they would refund the difference if the price dropped before 4th December. This was also advertised via HotUKDeals.
I purchased a Cosori air fryer from Amazon on 17th November. The deal was advertised as a Black Friday deal. It was for £69.99. I had a £5 voucher when I topped up my account so I paid £64.99 at the checkout.
On the 28th November the price dropped to £50.99. It was advertised at full price but there was a 40% off voucher that you could apply. This too was advertised on HotUKDeals.
I contacted Amazon live chat this morning to request my refund. Currently I have been on live chat for over 95 minutes being handed from one person to another, all of whom deny that any such price difference deal exists. They want to see screenshots of the Amazon offer and, bluntly, they appear to be having a joke at my expense constantly asking me to repeat everything.

Someone else on HotUKDeals informed me that they contacted Amazon yesterday and got their refund in 5 minutes.
Clearly Amazon have no intention of honouring this price difference for myself. I have wasted over 90 minutes chatting to them. I am posting this here so that others are aware that Amazon is not honouring their own advertised price difference deal for all customers.

Or just stick with the one that they, presumably, were happy to pay £64.99 for only a week or so ago?
