How to sort (fix) album artwork on numerous .mp3s

To check, open MP3Tag, load one of the MP3 files, select it, look at left side of screen where it shows the artwork, right click and the drop down gives you various cover types to look at. In the past I've had files that had blank front cover but a picture in the back cover.B0bbyEwing said:
I probably haven't checked that tbh as I'm not sure what you're saying. Front, Back. That's sounding like CD cover art to me & I'm not sure how you'd do multiple covers to a file.uknick said:
I'm sure you checked, but MP3Tag does allow you to store the artwork in a number of places; front, back, other etc. I've found iTunes sometimes stores in under "other" instead of "front" which then fails to display in my car.B0bbyEwing said:
Forgive me if I'm wrong but I think you're talking about something like mp3tag?wongataa said:I would use some music management software that can display album artwork to double check what artwork is actually embedded in the files. Then, if any artwork is incorrect, the music management software should have a function to replace the artwork with some you supply or over the internet.
But as I say, when I open a file using that, there's no album artwork tied to the file at all, apparently.
CookieKing - thanks for the write up. I can make album art via mp3tag. Had been doing it loads for a DJ I downloaded many files from. Thing here is, deleting artwork that seemingly isn't there, yet is. Or just reverting to normal, somehow.
I'm going to guess that the only way to do it is to find the image of the default image, if that's possible (haven't yet looked) and make it the image for all files.2 -
You learn something new every day. I thought you could only add 1 image there. I didn't know you could load mulitple.uknick said:

I've done the selecting a file & having a look & it was blank which I take will be the main cover then. I'll look tonight if there's other covers.
My guess is there won't be which will continue the wondering. Be nice if it was there though so this would be easily explained.0 -
Just checked.
When I click the only selectable options are "add cover" and "correct aspect ratio" - which is already ticked. Nothing else is selectable.0 -
Not sure what else to advise if MP3tag doesn't think you've got artwork attached to the file.B0bbyEwing said:Just checked.

Try and find the image you need online.
Hopefully it's a.jpeg, right click "save image as".
Open Mp3tag, select the track(s) to which you want to attach the artwork, Ctrl+a for a whole album, select "add cover" from right clicking the "art" box navigate to the saved image, select it and then "open" and Robert's your uncle.
I've just tried it by finding the album page on Wikipedia and saving the picture of the album cover as above and then adding it using Mp3tag.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
Yeah this is where I thought it would be heading to be honest.spud17 said:Try and find the image you need online.

I don't suppose you know the correct term to find the icon for the above?
I tried windows 10 default music icon which brought up nothing.0
