Best way to apply for a EWI grant .

I have been asked by my mother to help him apply or External wall grant ( EWI) , I have tried the GOV website but seems that is only for loft insulation / cavity wall ( shes with EON). I have looked on google and there are lot of companies but not too sure if that the best way to go as I am just a bit wary about fly by night companies / scams . She lives in Birmingham . Any help would be appreciated .
