Credit Cards for Charities to Use

Hi all,

I am the Executive Director (but not trustee) of a UK registered charity and I am exploring whether we can get a credit card. My charity does a lot of flight and accommodation bookings, so I am hoping that we can be rewarded for this spend.

My initial searches for such a card on the web have not been fruitful – does anyone have any advice?

Seb

Personally I'd search for 'business credit cards', which returns results such as:

You'd obviously need to validate that the terms of any specific deals there are accessible to charities, which will presumably depend on exactly how they're constituted....

    How have your searches failed?

AmEx dominate the reward cards for small businesses (inc charities) as they do for personal cards but the cards come with a per card fee (some waive in year 1) and so can the charity justify the fees? Is it needed for cashflow management or just rewards?

When you mention travel were you thinking to limit FX costs? Barclay's personal offering doesn't have a business equivalent, the £150/year card reduces not eliminates FX costs. Halifax similarly don't offer any business cards. You could look at debit cards but that doesn't help with cashflow if that's a requirement.
