Postage not paid

Too try and keep it simple I sold a few items via auction to the same person, one item was small so postage was simple letter cost, remainder parcel size.
I have multi-buy postage set up but different if it’s a parcel or a letter, so buyer asked for an invoice.
I saw that the default was the parcel rate with letter cost added on top do thinking I was doing the right thing I zeroed the letter rate as I would obviously be sending it in the same package.
What seems to have happened therefore is that the buyer was given two postage options and chose the zero one of course so they haven’t paid any postage.
Unfortunately I didn’t notice straight away, so have posted the items. I presume this is now down to me as an expensive learning experience. I plan to have one multi postage option only going forward.

I'm not sure there is much you can do at this stage other than chalk it up to experience. If it's a large amount and you didn't make a decent amount on the items you could go back to the customer and explain the mistake, but I reckon it probably isn't worth it.0
