Company has broken ‘final response’ agreement.

Hi, wondering if someone here can help.
i have had a complaint in play recently with a company, they have issued a final response with an agreement term, that they would reimburse me a amount on a particular time and day.
they have now broken this agreement on two occasions, and have not paid me when they said so.
do I now have legal grounds on this?, they have admitted that they have made an internal mistake on both occasions , and due to that have not paid me, and have now promised a third date of payment.
Just curious as to what I can now do regarding this, it is a FCA regulated company.

If it's a financial services business then you have the option of escalating to the Financial Ombudsman Service, although that's rarely a viable means of expediting progress!0

Yes, they have made umpteen mistakes on my case, I’ve now waited almost a month past the ‘final response’ timescale promise only to be told today it’s going to take another 7-10 days0

The other option would be small claims, but again that won't miraculously make it happen quickly, although a letter before action might focus their minds - however, this would only be applicable if there was a clear legal obligation for them to pay the money, e.g. reimbursement of tangible losses, rather than if it was, say, some sort of goodwill gesture....1

Yes, so it’s two monthly payments, and a goodwill redress due to them messing up so many times.
but again, they promised me twice that I’d receive the monies on a particular day and they’ve not played ball on both occasions.0
