Netflix Account hacked, then charged for increased monthly subscription

Hi all
My Netflix account was recently hacked .
Emails from Netflix to say Sign in on a different device, additional member added, additional payments taken.
Netflix refunded me but as I needed a new password they have increased my monthly prescription from £6.99 to £10.99. They say that’s the cost now & can’t be changed.
Anyone else experienced this?

What’s to stop Netflix from doing this so they can hike the charges?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I haven't experienced this, but I am aware that Netflix removed their 'Basic' tier, leaving just Standard with Adverts, Standard and Premium.
Customers already on Basic were (are) able to carry on with Basic, but new customers, or existing customers who are on (or switch to) something other than Basic, aren't able to switch to Basic. https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/2023/10/netflix-price-rise/
It seems unlikely to me that Netflix would fake hacking incidents just to bump people to other plans.
In principle you could ask Netflix customer services to switch you back to Basic, and argue that as your switch away was caused by a hacking incident, you shouldn't be penalised.
In practise, the normal level customer service administrators may well not have any way they can switch you back to Basic. Possibly a higher level CS admin might be able to switch you back, but it could take a lot of persuading to get through to them.
Apparently there was a workaround a while ago to switch to Basic - https://www.cordbusters.co.uk/netflix-trick-get-basic-tier/ - I don't know if that still works.0 -
The same thing's just happened to me, and they're saying the old price is not available to New Members, but admit I've been a member since 2020. I explained that I was hacked and don't see why I should be penalised to simply carry on as before, but they won't budge. Terrible 'service'0

The same hacking happened to me in December but last month Jan 24 Netflix they charged me three times. £7.99, £10.99 and £17.99. I could only get them to refund the last charge of £17.99 because 'the system can only refund the most recent charge'. They couldn't explain why I'd been charged the third time so it seems they have a big payment system failure to address.0
