Outlook Junk emails not being automatically deleted

My Win 10 Outlook Junk emails are supposed to be automatically deleted 'after 10 days' but I have ignored them for a while and I see that I now have over 400 and the oldest is 8/11/2023.
So the auto delete isn't working.
Any ideas how to fix that? I am permanently signed in.

I know I've had no replies but here's an update. I decided to sign out of Outlook/Hotmail and sign in again. Now I have just over 200 junk emails and the last one was received on 09/11/23. So the deletion after 10 days worked.
Maybe it's designed not to delete them if you stay logged in?0
