Hi there. I have an old iPad (IPad air 2014) that no longer receives updates. I know that it has no trade in value and it is not listed on music magpie etc.
Can anyone advise where I can recycle it in, or anything else I can do with it please?

Our local council waste recycling centre has a bin for old mobile phones and computers - I'd suggest you look at what your local council offers.0

I have exactly the same device, and it still works. It’s rather slow, and the battery capacity is poor, so it needs to be plugged in most of the time. I’d recommend giving yours to someone who will use it. I don’t think it’s quite ready to be thrown away yet.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Electronic photo frame? Or mount it on the wall with a suitable power source and use it as a central heating controller? Record a a tiktok video of you 'accidentally' breaking it in a comedic way so you can go viral and become a megarich influencer?

Whatever you decide, make sure you delete everything that you ever did with it, wipe all personal data, especially any password manager, and remove it from your Apple device list, if you registered with them. Then, do a factory reset.1

CeX would be £19 upwards or £28 for a voucher (that seems to be for the WiFi only, 16 GB and C Grade, so non-base models/better condition would be more.) Sometimes it can vary by colour also. They have quite a lot of stores if you don’t like the idea of sending it off, I did that and the iPad was graded as I expected.1
