TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “HARIBO Mishaps Moments x Hits Radio Network” (the “Competition”). These terms should be read with our general competition terms at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition- terms.htm which also apply to this Competition.

 

1. COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN 

There will be twenty (20) winners of the “HARIBO Mishap Moments” Competition on Hits Radio Network England and twenty (20) winners on Hits Radio Network Scotland

Entrants must tell us their festive “mishap” story, in less than 150 words, on the HARIBO Mishap Moments competition page on planetradio.co.uk/hits- radio/competitions

All valid entries will be pooled and split into two pots, the pots will be HRN Scotland and HRN England. These pots will be decided by the postcode received by the entrant. The allocation of the postcodes into which pot will relate to whether it sits within TSA area of HRN Scotland or HRN England.)

Twenty (20) entrants stories will be selected by Bauer Media/Hits Radio Network England Show Producers and twenty (20) entrants stories will be selected by Bauer Media/ Hits Radio Network Scotland Show Producers.

Funny, positive, light-hearted stories are more likely to be shortlisted.

Selected entrants will be invited to come to-air on Hits Radio Network Scotland or Hits Radio Network England during the Hits Festive Throwback Weekends to share their ‘festive mishap’ story to win £1000 cash.

Entrants ‘Mishap Moment’ stories can be submitted between 00:01 on 27th November 2023 until 23:59 on Fri 22nd December 2023 (the competition entry period)

Entrants must be willing to come to-air upon request to share their story on the following dates or at a time as advised by the Hits Radio England & Hits Radio Scotland Show producers.

-               Sat 2nd December 2023 / Sun 3rd December 2023

-               Sat 9th December 2023 / Sun 10th December 2023

-               Sat 16th December 2023 / Sun 17th December 2023

-               Sat 23rd December 2023 / Sun 24th December 2023

Entries will be short-listed throughout the competition entry period. Upon shortlisting, we will require the entrant to coherently explain their entry. The entry must match the entry that was entered online. Being shortlisted and contacted does not mean the shortlisted entrant is a winner, they will only be deemed a winner by the Hits Radio production team during the on- air competition round. The winner will be made aware they have won, when contacted by a member of the production team when the winning entry has been announced on air.

By participating in this contest, all winners agree to be available and willing to come to-air to tell their mishap story on Hits Radio Network. The winner hereby grants Hits Radio Network the right to broadcast their story and their voice without any compensation. The winner also agrees to provide their availability for the radio appearance as requested by Hits Radio Network. 

Winners' identities will remain confidential and will not be disclosed during the broadcast of their mishap story, except with their explicit written consent. Hits Radio Network will take all reasonable measures to ensure the anonymity of the winners, such as using only their first names.

 

2.ENTRY PLATFORMS AND COSTS              

Entries are restricted to one entry per person.

Online entry is free of charge.

 

3. DATES              

The overall competition dates are: 27th November 2023 at 00:01 to Sun 24th December 2023 at 19:00.

Entries for the HARIBO Mishap Moments competition must be submitted during the following entry period: From 27th November 2023 at 00:01 (the “Start Time”) to Fri 22nd December 2023 at 23:59 (“End Time”).

Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time will be invalid.

Winner Announcement: The winner’s first name and hometown are

available on request by emailing win@bauermedia.co.uk 

However, if the winner cannot be contacted within 14 days from the date of the initial attempt to contact them, then we will re-draw until we draw a winner that we are satisfied (in our sole discretion) fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

 

4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS 

•              Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.

•              One entry per person.

•              Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.

•              If you or any other person at your household has won a prize valued at £500 or more on any Bauer brand in the past 6 months, you nor they are not eligible to enter or win this competition. The full list of Bauer Media brands can be found

5. THE PRIZE       

Forty (40) Winners will each receive any of the following prize: (the “Prize”):

*Participants of the HARIBO Mishap Moments contest acknowledge that the contents of the HARIBO Bundle will include a selection of HARIBO sweets and related products that are randomly allocated and may vary. Specific requests for certain sweets or vegetarian options cannot be accommodated. Winners accept the HARIBO Bundle as awarded, and no exchanges or substitutions are permitted. The delivery address provided by the winner must be accurate, and HARIBO or Bauer are not liable for mis delivery. Participants understand that the HARIBO Bundle may include non- vegetarian items, as there is no option for a vegetarian-only bundle.

HARIBO and its affiliates, or Bauer are not liable for any loss or injury resulting from the acceptance or use of the HARIBO Bundle.

 

OTHER CONDITIONS

1.            DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider,) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to the prize provider to arrange delivery of the prize. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. 2.            INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you’ve submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize (if you win!). We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

3.            MISCELLANEOUS.

a.            Entries that don’t comply with these terms won’t be accepted and you may be disqualified if we think you’ve breached them.

b.            Entrants may not enter more than once.

c.             If there is a dispute about the operation of the Competition or correctness of any answers given, our decision is final and no discussion will be entered into on this subject.

d.            We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.

e.            You are responsible for all costs of entry.

f.             You may be disqualified if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners.

g.            Whilst on-air, you must not make inappropriate or offensive statements.

h.            As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition / the Prize.

i.              We may cancel / amend / end / suspend the Competition if we need to do so due to circumstances outside our control.
