Why is it I get a cheaper quote using price comparisons like confused.com? More expensive unite when I buy direct from the website?

Are you sure the comparison site is passing on all the correct information? I had trouble with one of them ignoring things like existing conditions.0

1) People who go to price comparison sites are more price sensitive, those that go directly to a brand tend to have already bought into the brand so willing to pay more
2) Providers offer cut down versions of their products on comparison sites so lower cover and so lower price
3) Optional extras are often defaulted as no/off on comparison sites but yes/on for direct customers
4) Excess are higher on comparison sites so lower cover and so lower price
