I was giving my daughter a lift over Christmas, she said her car was having problems starting too. Then I noticed that she had turned on my car seat heater. I told her that could be another drain on the car battery. But nothing to do with my issue, as I don't use the heated seats0

That's not how it works, the car system adapts to the battery wearing and therefore needs to be told when a new battery has been fitted, even if exactly the same make and model.Arunmor said:The simplest way of course would be to change the battery like for like then the car shouldn't need recoding.0
