Barclays app moving money to Chase Savings has failed twice

hi
has anyone experiencing problem in moving money between accounts? I have just switched to Barclays and put in £800 to qualify for bonus and now I want to move it back to my Chase Savings account and it failed twice for trying in two different days.
Anyone has the same experience, is Barclay down at the mo?

Thanks in advance

  • As I understand it, it's not possible to withdraw from this new account for about four days. Also it was not necessary to deposit £800 to get the incentive, that was only to avoid being charged forBlue rewards.

You still get charged for Blue Rewards, but cannot benefit from any rewards unless you pay in £800.

They apparently have some security measures in place for new accounts that stops you withdrawing via the app. Mine is still locked after a week! They have told me to use online banking, which I can’t as it needs the card reader which needs the pin which hasn’t arrived yet!

Makes you laugh doesn't it...the Fintech App only banks manage it OK so why not Barclays?
If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

    Secured/Unsecured loans x 1
    Credit Cards x 8 (total limit £51,300)
Creation FS Retail Account x 1
    0% Overdraft x 1 (£0 / £250)

    Total Debt = £1,125.00 (0%APR) @ £112.50pm

It's from an era when getting a new current account up and running normally took at least a week. Most of its peers now manage this better, however.

I had this issue but i was attempting to use the details that were showing in the app as transferred from the old bank account, adding one of those again as a new account to pay to cured the problem, and allowed me to transfer most of my £800 back to another bank.
