Wicked No he was the one at the very end in a peaked cap shouting at the new recruits learning to ride
Gers Thank goodness the bird was at yours I have a massive phobia of themThat was a funny scene, I'll go and look at it again now.IzzyBee said:Gers I would have been hysterical a bird in the house all that flapping eeek .I'm OK with them apart from when they poo everywhere, swallows are the worst. For tiny wee birds they must be three-quarters poo.The sun came out but without much warmth. The car windscreen was cleared and I've been out and back. I filled up the car as the petrol was only £1.43.99 locally and was much more in Glasgow.Washing finished and hung on the airer upstairs with the dehumidifier on. I've brought more logs in so should be OK for the weekend.10 -
What a beautiful day. The autumn colours are incredible this year. I’ve been on a 45 minute bike ride to pick up something off the Olio app, it was a long way to go but it’s a way of making sure I get my exercise as well. Then on the way home stopped in my local recovery cafe and saw someone I used to go to a group with which was absolutely lovely and we had a good chat and a catch up. Did a supermarket shop before my delivery comes on Wednesday. Got some frozen edamame beans to go in my new freezer, they’re my absolute favourite. Now home with a wash on and going to watch Saturday Kitchen on catchup and do a bit of knitting.

Afternoon all, just had our lunch and a hot drink, thawing out after watching DGS this morning. He is not coming to the match this afternoon, it's his other Grandma's birthday 70 so they are going over there. His DM came to watch with his little sis, who had been to her dancing class this morning so at least she was warm to start off with, but her hands got cold. I popped my sheepskin mitts on her for a bit but she wasn't impressed
It's DGS party tomorrow ( swimming inflatables
) so I'm going a bit early to help set up the food etc. when we get back from DGD football.
I'm going to put an extra layer on to go to the match, have dug some thermals out. We have a Thai takeaway deal from Marks.Coxy glad your last day went well & good luck in your new job next week.Snoozer, glad Esben was ok.TA, glad you got fixed up with dance stuff- I'm really struggling this year with DGCs pressies, especially when their birthdays are late in the year too!Better get a shuffti on, we'll be meeting DB2 & co for a drink before the match. Have a good weekend everyone x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)11 -
ROSY I'm glad you mentioned thermals. I got some last winter and was hardly without them on. Now the weather has changed I need to fish them out. But need to find them first! x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"6

Hello everyone
This is my first chance to get on here since Thursday. Our 'special visitor' at nursery on Friday was a really nice lady, she said she would be there for 4 hours and she was. It wasn't anywhere near as stressful as the last inspection we had and went really well. I don't know if its' new practise not to strike fear into people but she spoke to us all in a friendly way - the lady we had last time fired questions at us all as if on a mission to catch us out! Anyways, it's over with now.
I was shattered as I was at work at 8.15 rather than my usual 11.30! I expected to have a peaceful evening but then DD asked me to have little one Friday night instead of Saturday, so they picked me up from work. I was just going to wash up after tea, and was looking forward to a lovely soak in the bath once she was in bed, when I discovered I had no water coming out the taps! I filled the kettle from the water butt to wash up and DD went to the shop and brought me a couple of big bottles, as little one's tummy tube has to be flushed out with water. It was back on about 9pm so I put the washing on before bed.
Little one was off school yesterday. DD took her to a respiratory appointment at the big hospital on Thursday and they decided she still has a chest infection so she's on antibiotics and steroids, and then back on permanent antibiotics. She was thrilled when I gave her the homework and reading books her teacher gave me for her and insisted on reading them 2 minutes after she got to my house.
We've been cosy in the house all day today - she's made a lovely picture on a small canvas for her mummy for Christmas, we've played with lego, coloured in and played games - it's been a really nice day.
DD picked her up just before tea and brought me a lovely looking chocolate brownie which I'll have with a cup of tea soon. I'm ready for a nice early night.
Better get washed up...then it'll be pyjamas on x9
