Need some info regarding switching current accounts

I've decided to switch to nationwide, and I've chosen my switch over date, which is in 2 weeks time and I understand my direct debits and balance will be automatically moved over. I currently have my salary and also some universal credit going into my current account. Will these 2 payments also be switched over or should i still inform my employer and universal credit of a change of bank account. Thankyou

When I switched my dad, he was paid by DWP (pension), Nationwide did notify them of the new change as the DWP wrote to him. If it was me, I would notify my employer to be on the safe side.2

Q. What happens to payments that people send to my old account?
A. The Current Account Switch Service will redirect payments to your new account. Each time an electronic payment is redirected an automatic message is sent back to the originator advising them of the new account details so they can update their records. Some organisations may contact you directly to confirm your details have changed.

My wife & I recently switched our joint current account to Nationwide. It was fairly trouble free. We phoned DWP to inform them regarding payment of State Pension. My wife emailed her occupational pension (NHS) administrator, and there was no problem there. My occupational pension provider's process was a bit more cumbersome, but they did it OK. All the DDs and SOs changed over just fine. The trickiest thing to change was the pairing of my wife's savings bank account to the new current account. The savings bank account insisted on having a statement from the new Nationwide account, which wasn't available until the account had been opened for a month. I also had to tell a couple of people who send us money by bank transfer.

I've never told senders when I've changed my bank account, and the payments have just transferred over seamlessly.1
