I own my house outright by myself, how can my partner get a mortgage on half?

If he suddenly decides he doesn't want to pay, or finds he can't, you will have to pay it. Or lose your house. You need legal advice and you need to do what is best for you.

Similar question, but partner buying a house (we both like), outright.....divorce proceedings going through. Both are buying their own property outright. When I sell my home (just months away), can I be put on the deeds as tenant in common when I pay partner half, so we can leave our estate as we wish in our Wills. I have no worries about partner living in house after my demise, until their demise. I'd be willing to move out within one year of their demise to give inheritors their half. Will there be taxes to pay? What can we do to avoid further heavy costs? Thanks.0

He's basically buying half your house.
You get a joint mortgage for half the current value. The mortgage funds then go to your bank account.
Though you'd need a Conveyancer to do all the legal paperwork and there maybe Stamp Duty tax to pay.
Sounds very expensive.0 -
