Please help.

The TV is a LG OLED55C9PLA

My friend is looking to move the TV.

Another friend has suggested Free View Play, to avoid having untidy aerial cable extensions.

Thanks for all replys.

Your TV is a smart TV and if you don't have the aerial connected you need to be connected to the internet and use the smart TV functions to access Freeview Play.
As you are probably already connected and using your smart TV, just disconnect the aerial and see how you get on before you move your TV.

    Thanks @RumRat

Yes connected, WiFi, and using iplayer etc.

Not sure about setting up FreeView play, or if we're setting it up right.

Also have a smart Sharp TV,  a BF a few days ago.

At the moment we're going round in ever increasing circles.

    Thanks

Freeview Play sets often need to be tuned in using a working UHF TV aerial before they play nicely with the broadcaster catchup apps.  They may then be perfectly happy if aerial disconnected and moved to another room.

Other streaming devices are likely better in situations with no TV aerial in the dwelling.

Does the TV definitely have Freeview Play?
LG’s website doesn’t list it as having Freeview Play. But does for newer models. Some places selling refurbished models list it as having Freeview Play but other retailers just list Freeview Explore and the pictures of the remotes don’t show a Freeview Play button.

Strangely, if you have an LG TV with ITV Player, you can't access live ITV1 🤷‍♂️
However, with a Firestick plugged in, you can!

Why do the aerial extensions have to be untidy?

Well, on ours and our daughters LG TVs, the ITV Player app won't get live TV (using t'internet - aerial/dish works fine)
