    You have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. The decking wasn’t fit for purpose, and the joiner is responsible, not the manufacturer. Send him a formal written complaint asking for a proper fix or refund within 14 days. If he doesn’t respond, contact Advice Direct Scotland (0808 164 6000) and consider taking it to the Simple Procedure court (small claims) for compensation. Keep all records and photos.
