Morning All
Still wet and windy but seems to be calmer than last night when it was blowing a gale.
The inspection went well, it wasn't THE inspection but a pretty big one. The children were quite calm, can't decide if that was a good thing or not!
Haircut today after work, I was meant to go last week but wasn't well. I'll do the housework when I get home as I have the little one for the weekend so nothing will get done then.
Hoping you're all well, take care. XX9 -
The howiing wind hasn't stopped or dropped here. I had to close my bedroom window as the noise was so loud. It's only open a crack but that was enough to created a loud whistling. This morning is my pool session then I need to do a little shopping. Then tonight is Dr Who night 🎉. I've been mildly in thrall to this programme since the first episode 60 years ago. 😀 It's slightly embarrassing but the daleks still get my heart racing in fear. Perhaps not actual fear but a frisson of thrill.Marie has popped into my head, I hope that you're doing OK.11

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. We have the strong winds and rain here too. Grr. But as I am housebound today I don't suppose it matters!
Our bus trip yesterday took us to Otley. But involved quite a few different buses thanks to our direct bus service getting scrapped. Our outward journey wasn't too bad but coming back, with traffic delays, we ended up missing one of the connections, then the next. We decided it wasn't worth the effort!
I am out tomorrow so the Friday Tidy is getting brought forward to today. Plus the washing basket is looking a bit full. So a busy day in store.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones or MIA. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Morning all
Not raining here and we are meant to be sunny till Sunday which will be so nice if it happens ! I am off to collect Rob today and take him to work, we are in the cafe today so we will probably do some baking.
DD is doing a sleep in tonight so just OH and I here for dinner, I think I will do a curry with rice and some poppadoms. Day off tomorrow so I am looking forward to a lay in I really struggle to get up in the winter I think it’s the dark mornings. I have to take little dog for a haircut and I must get all the presents out and sort out what’s for Birthday and Christmas and then start wrapping.
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Hi everyone,
I've not read the thread yet because I want to post before any little fingers are up so apologies if I've missed something.
Well, they're back and still asleep, we'll see how the jet-lag goes today. Hopefully it won't be too bad because Esben seems to have been asleep quite a while, Esther had a wakeful period in the night but settled about 2 Laura said.
There is not a lot else to report. The cleaner is coming today but she won't be doing the usual things because no-one was here to use the bedrooms and bathrooms and she'll be back on her usual day of Tuesday next week.
Have a good day.8 -
Morning all.
Quiet morning here then we're off to DD's this afternoon. Will collect DGS from school and then stay for dinner; DH has made us all a shepherd's pie.
Yesterday I bought the last of my special birthday and Christmas cards so they're now tucked away in readiness. I do need to pop out for some milk and salad veg but that's about it.
Have a good day everyone.10 -

Morning everyone
Still wild and windy here - hoping it drops a bit before I have to go to work. I'm going to make cheese scones with the kids today, last week it was rock buns - they're all really enjoying their cookery sessions but I'll run out of easy things to make soon.
Little one had enjoyed her friends' party and her alarm didn't go off so that was good news. She's not at school today as she has a hospital appointment so I'll have to wait to hear the details.
I managed to get some more Christmas presents yesterday - I think I just need to buy some nice boxes of chocolates now.
Snoozer you'll be pleased to have them back safely, Esben will love telling you all about it.
TA it sounds like a long journey, I bet you were ready for a cuppa when you got back.
I'm going to get on otherwise I'll sit here too long. Hope everyone has a good day today x

Morning all, it's sunny and windy, shame I have no washing on..yet...Ohs mum and stepdad are coming for supper tonight so frantci tidy upis required, you know, all the stuff you forget about and think omg, what if they look there...It'll be pork chops and risotto milanese and I made a Carpathian mountain cake [ basically, vanilla custard and choux pastry but very nice] on Monday so that's in the fridge ready. Beginning to think this was a bad idea, since we don't have a table and they'll have to eat on their laps and we don't have enough comfy chairs for everyone so one of us two will be sitting on the office chair. Other than that, I have the heart bloke this afternoon and I went to the wool shop and bought myself new shiny toys so the crochet blanket has been restarted. It's a lot bigger than the original one so it's probably going to takeme all year to do and all of next yearcamelot, well done for getting though the inspection unscathed. Gers, I know the feeling, I was one who hid behind the sofa to watch it when we were children. And the cyber men! scary! WL, hope the magic cupboard is bringing you joy
Take care all, including the unwell...Izzy, sub 100 days now?

Morning all,A windy night here, still a bit wild. DH and I are off to M/cr later to meet my ex SIL and her hubby for a late lunch.Wooo get me 2 lunches out in a week. The girly one on Tuesday went nicely, my throat felt a bit rough after the non stop chat. One of them had brought some old photos from our school days to look at. It's just over 50 years since we left after our A levels
, but when you get chatting the years just fall away. Shame the aches and pains gained over those years don't !
The innards for the new fitted wardrobes in our bedroom came yesterday, not put together though. DH assembled a third of it last night, ooh there will be so much more storage, can't wait to get my clothes out of the plastic storage boxes but the menfolk shifted a load of stuff to make space to work & I can't find half of what I want - like my perfume before I went for lunch on Tues. Got it now though. Not sure if we'll need much to eat later. DS can have a pizza for tea. He likes the Pizzaexpress ones and they were on offer when I got my order yesterday.Well I'd better go and do something before I start to get ready, have a good day all, hope the jet lag isn't too bad for the family Snoozer X:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
