Following a series of incidents at my house, resulting in smashed windows and doors,my Ring doorbell was also broken. The police informed me that Amazon provide free Ring doorbells to victims of certain crimes (including,in my case, harassment)on production of a valid crime number.Amazon say this is not the case but,on checking back with the police, they assure me it's definitely correct and sent me a local crime/policing leaflet which also says this.It doesn't,however, provide more details of how actually to get the doorbell, beyond having to have a crime reference number.Does anyone else know about this?

Are they getting confused with this - only applies to select doorbells and appears to be if they are stolen rather than broken.
Theft protection for select Ring devices – Ring Help
Google throws up an old project back in 2019 but that is long gone. Does your leaflet have a date on it?
You'd think amazon would know if they are the ones paying for them. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0
