G24 parking fine, now claim form

I received yesterday a claim form for a ticket that i've received a year ago from g24.
The car was briefly parked in a restricted zone for cars and mopeds, except for loading ( i was there to collect a delivery order).
Later on,I've received through post the 100£ ticket and decided to contest it.
No response was given, but instead the claim was raised to 170£.
Now, the claim form states that I need to pay 255£ including court & solicitor fees.
What should I do?

Do you have any photos of the signs, as that link doesn't look like a private car park?

And a pic of the G24 first PCN (front and back please)?

I see that BW Legal have started adding 'driver's breach' to the Particulars of Claim
(I have redacted the Claim number in this image):

Because that has the breach stated 'unauthorised parking' you can't add the CEL v Chan extra wording linked separately in the Template Defence.  No biggie! The use of that extra bit was only ever going to be temporary.

Just add a paragraph 3 to the Template Defence and show us your addition (don't show us the whole template here ...pleeease).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I will go and take pics of the signs as google maps does not show them for some reason.
It's not a parking zone, more like a loading zone and drop off and pick up only.
Delivery vans always use that area as there's no other way to supply the restaurants inside.
Cars do enter the zone daily and even park.
Unfortunately, I don't have the PCN anymore.
I have tried in first instance to defend myself, stating that I was there to collect a delivery order, but didn't receive any response from G24.
I haven't started my defence yet as I wanted to get an opinion on the matter from you guys.
    Thank you so much again.

Yes photos would help us help you.

In the meantime, acknowledge the claim to buy more time. Shown in pictures in the NEWBIES thread.

With a Claim Issue Date of 17th November, you have until Wednesday 6th December to file an Acknowledgment of Service but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it..
To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Wednesday 20th December 2023 to file your Defence.
That's four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.
Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.
  • Managed to take a pic of the sign
  • Wouldntwouldnt post before

What about wider views to show how you couldn't have seen any signs?

Not that it matters yet as no evidence goes with the defence.  This was just to help us try to understand how you missed the sign.
