Todd door internal handles - how to remove

I have an internal handle that the latch is jammed out.
I suspect that debris/ dust has got in the mechanism as we are having building work done at the moment. I thought I would open it up and clean it out, but I can't work out how to remove the inside cover. I've already unscrewed the "rose" covering the handle. I can see screw heads on the inner ( dark grey) circle but can't work out how to remove the outer plate.

Second view, you can just see that the screw head is visible on the inner plate.

Have you tried removing the grub screw in the handle with an Allen key? Looks like the handle will then come off along with the Crome trim allowing access to the screws?0

Hi,perhaps the plate with the holes unscrews and the screw heads you see are fixing the backplate to the door.Try a flat headed screwdriver in one of the holes and tap anti clockwise.0

I agree with this ,even if the inner trim does not just come away it might have to be unscrewed to come off but take the screw and handle off first.Nobbie1967 said:Have you tried removing the grub screw in the handle with an Allen key? Thanks all.
There was a grub screw that I released with an allan key. Then I had to unscrew a facing plate on each side.
Now I am stuck. the latch moves freely when the handles and screws are removed, but with the handles in place it won't budge without force.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
