Update February 2025:
Hello everyone, I sent the robust response to Gladstone's back in November 2023 and only received a response last month. They have also issued another letter before claim dated January 2025 to my address. Should I respond to this new LBC and should it be different to my first response.

VAT is not applicable as the Parking Charge Notice which was issued to you is a contractual charge.Wow!!
Does that mean that, for example, if I have a new bathroom fitted, I can agree the contractor's price for the job and avoid paying VAT?
It must be true... a prominent firm of solicitors says so.
[A rhetorical question really. I know the answer.

Report them to HMRC for VAT concerns (search the forum. It's been done all last year umpteen zillion times). Copy that. Easy online complaint.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
