Morning All
Colder this morning but still dry which is a bonus. There was some lovely sunshine yesterday but seemed to get dark very quickly.
Hope you've put your new WM to good use Gers!
Pleased to hear your wound is healing well Ruby and you enjoyed your day with Rob.
Izzy, I too have a cold, old stone house - takes ages to get it warm, turn off the heating and the heat just seeps away!
Glad to hear you have your heating sorted WL.
Your last week Coxy!
Hope your Dad has cheered up Nanny!
Work was ok yesterday once I got into it, felt better as the day went on. I was very tired last night so took a dose of cough medicine and slept for 7 hours without waking up!
Hope you all have a good day, take care. XX10 -
Another chilly morning so I'm still snuggled down. After the excitement yesterday there will be calm today.Once the new WM was up and working I made full use of it, including testing the add in feature. 😀 My oldest nephew was very scathing about my pleasure, even when I told him about the days of washing clothes in the bath (when I was younger and broke) or the dreaded twin tubs. Anyway, I now have a drying room rather than a spare room. The dehumidifier has been working overtime.I will go into town as my meds are still waiting to be collected and I need some fresh veggies again.Camelot - good to hear that you managed OK yesterday. Still take things easy.10

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Gosh it's a dark start this morning but we are forecast a little bit of sun late morning so may have a bit of brightness today - unlike yesterday.
I'm another with a cold house, even with the heating on it takes forever to warm through. When we first moved here we went rampant knocking walls down to make bigger rooms but I'm now paying the penalty for that as the smaller rooms would warm up better I'm sure.
Yesterday ended up a day of sloth. I kept looking at jobs I should be doing - but didn't do them!! I blame the miserable weather, it's much more tempting to snuggle under the heated throw reading!
I am meeting my DF for lunch again, all being well! We are having a good run at the moment without her DH and his mental health problems scuppering our Tuesday meet ups.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones or those getting better. IZZY I was like you with my countdown to retirement! In my last year I had a length of wallpaper numbering down from 365 on my office wall and crossed each day off as I went home! Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Morning everyone out in a minute to one of my cleaning jobs it’s chilly but dry at the minute Camelot take care of yourself or you will end up in bed all day Gers pleased the new washing machine is doing it’s job TA enjoy your lunch I think we all need to snuggle up with our fleecy throws to keep warm I remember this time last year wishing it was summer I don’t remember us having much summer and I’ve certainly never been down to a t shirt so fingers crossed for this summer.I’ve got fish out for tonight not for hubby he will be having something along the lines of a cooked breakfast I’m still trying to be good I haven’t put any weight on since I left WW but I haven’t lost any either it’s a constant battle . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing8

Morning all
Dry here for now and no rain due for once ! No sun due either but I can live with that.
Three guests coming today, Rob was on fine form yesterday and I think he loved being out of the house after a week of being indoors, I will see what they fancy doing but maybe a walk somewhere.
Not sure about dinner tonight there is some gnocchi or maybe bacon and egg with bread and butter, will see what we feel like later. House is fairly tidy I just need to straighten the lounge before people come.
It would have been my nephews Birthday today the one who took his own life, so have had a few tears this morning ❤️❤️
Camelot glad you slept a bit better hopefully you will be on the mend soon xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all; dry but dull here.
Another one with rather a slothful day yesterday, although I did write some more Christmas cards and baked a batch of sugar free granola, which I've sampled for breakfast and it's not too bad.
Today I need to go to the shops for another present and a couple of cards so will hopefully do that in between the forecasted showers. I could also do with some more knitting wool. Have taken some salmon out of the freezer to cook later but that's about it.
Hugs to you Ruby; a sad time of remembrance for you.
Take care all.9 -
Morning thanks nmlc. It's a bit dull but dry here. Gers, glad you like your new machine, little pleasures and all that ...Camelot good to see you had a good nights sleep. I'm another in an old stone cottage, and yes we did the same with the walls TA , although DH did put some sliding doors between the sitting room and the kitchen/ diner. Not that we shut them very oftenIzzy, once Cmas is over your retirement will be here in a flash!RRuby a busy day for you today ((hugs))I am meeting my old school friends for lunch today, but 1 can't make it.It's a shame as along with my BFF, she went to the same primary as well as high school, Girl Guides etc. Her DM is quite poorly and she is staying with her.Tea will be chicken shawarma on a flatbread for the men- I'll see later for me,I might be still fullHave a good day all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all, it's dry but still that wind persists. I can't remember exactly what I did yesterday but it wasn't much ! Today I need to go to town to sort out my bank card as I had to have a new PIN number ( computer said no to my other one) and then run a few errands, hopefully I can have a look see in the new Dunelm shop too. Mr Fix It is ranting about the WAG this morning so I need to get out asap. No DGC to pick up tonight but DGD will be coming for her tea on Thursday instead.
Gers my little door is invaluable when you've dropped a sock on the way to the wm 😁 Enjoy.
Camelot I'm so sorry you're still feeling poorly, take care.
RedRuby many hugs for today.
Rosy shame about your meet up, perhaps next time ?
Take care all, stay warm
nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently8 -
Hi everyone,
We're home, we meant to stay in Yorkshire until today but Steve's cough wasn't getting any better and he'd finished the antib's so he rang the Dr and they sent a prescription to the pharmacy. We got there in time to pick them up, I hope these work.
Today is the day the family begin their epic journey, a flight from the resort where they are to San Jose, then 11 hours in a plane to Gatwick. Steve will pick Laura and the children up but Brian will have to take the train because there won't be room in the car. It's a two hour drive on top of all the flights so they won't be home until mid-afternoon tomorrow.
We're going over to see Crystal and Nate this morning and I've got a small hill of washing to do.
We're lucky in that this house is very warm, in fact visitors often complain it's too warm. It's a bit of a curse in the summer but at this time of year it's lovely.
Ruby, thinking of you.
Coxy, I can't remember, are you having a break before going into your new job?
Izzy, not too long now.
Have a good day.
