Nike Air Max 95 for holiday walks

Hi you lot.
I have worn the Nike Air Max 95 for many years but it seems it's not made for extensive walking or for holiday walking. After extensive walking, I have found myself end up with boils or blisters on my feet. Am I doing something wrong? Should I buy a 0.5 bigger size? I assume, the blisters are due to the overheating inside the trainers? Or, do i wear thicker socks?

If they are the correct size but you tend to wear them loosely laced for comfort, try tieing them more tightly with your foot as far back as possible, so that there's less friction and plenty of space at the front and sides during extended use.

Blisters are caused by friction, if they are on your heal that tends to mean the shoe is too big/not the right shape cup for you etc whereas blisters on the upper side of your foot can be evidence of the shoe being too small in that particular area.
Looking at Nike's website they recommend Air Max 95 for short/mid distance running but are not a model they recommend for walking. I know when I switched from trainers to a low cut walking boot the distances I could walk before feet were giving me bother increased dramatically.1 -
I suffer from this when the weather is hot. My feet are cut to bits or blisters and I mainly wear trainers for walking. I buy this. A thin layer under trainer socks and that certainly helps prevent it from happening....

My blisters are on the heel and also on the edges of my big toes. You are absolutely right. I cannot belive that there is a difference between walking and running trainers. I always assumed they are the same! How wrong was I! I have ordered a pair of Asics walking trainers and will give them a test drive in my upcoming holiday in Marrakech. If there are no issues, I will use them in Jordan and Cairo too.DullGreyGuy said:Blisters are caused by friction, if they are on your heal that tends to mean the shoe is too big/not the right shape cup for you etc whereas blisters on the upper side of your foot can be evidence of the shoe being too small in that particular area.
