I came across this online - you get free access to Dragon Pass by signing up for a free Regus Online account.
After you have signed up click on Partner Offers, Airline Lounges and then sign up for Dragon Pass. You can then pay a flat fee of £24 for lounge access, if you are more than 1 person just buy as many passes as you need at this price. If you do not end up using it, you get a refund.
The price for Dragon pass is usually $99.00
I found this the cheapest way to get access to lounges at Heathrow, however do check around as if you go to eg South Africa, it is cheaper to buy a pass direct, so still do research.
We have been able to use the Virgin Lounge at JFK airport with Dragon pass as well.

If you can get an HSBC Premier credit card , you get free access to most lounges worldwide & free travel insurance. There’s no fee to the card either. You need to meet a criteria when you apply but if you fall out of the criteria later it doesn’t stop you retaining the CardThe greatest prediction of your future is your daily actions.0

The cost of not being rich

OK, Lloyds World Elite Credit card gives a priority pass to the cardholder and one companion. If you're solo or a couple and travel a lot it's a bit of a no-brainer. You can team up with a solo friend (doesn't have to live at the same address) for the partner card too. I think it's offered through HBOS as well, same basic thing.
£15 a month, you more or less break even if you travel once every couple of months, compared with airport food or a paid lounge access. Infinite priority pass including lounge access. Fast track at a lot of airports (seems to be most UK, a good number in Europe) via the mastercard travel app. Fee free forex at interbank rates. Some partner deals and though most are affiliate cashback you can beat at TCB, there are exceptions).
The main drawback is that UK lounges can get crowded. You can reserve for a fee, or do what I do as a cheapskate and join the queue, I usually get in. The non-uk lounges are often the same as the airlines use, e.g. in Malaga, though the airlines have reserved capacity at busy times. PP is often not accepted in Scandinavia.
There are restaurant cash benefits which the Amex derived priority passes don't give, and generally it seems you can multi dip, so from Luton I'll have a meal, go to the lounge, buy a sandwich and drink for the flight at one of the concessions that sells prepacked food, all on the same priority pass. You're prohibited from using the same PP in the same place in the same day.
There will be some income requirements I suspect, but nowhere near the level of the HSBC Premium account, and it's a load cheaper than the Amex platinum.0
